"It may be said that Lurrie Bell grew up with royalty; blues royalty that is. The son of Chicago blues harmonica legend Carey Bell, Lurrie was constantly surrounded by the great musicians in that genre, taught himself to play guitar and began playing along during the frequent rehearsals at home. By the age of 14 he was performing at South Side bars. Bell has a spiritual connection to the blues; knowledgeable and soulful that keeps him connected to his roots while moving the blues forward with time."
