The son of Chicago blues harmonica legend Carey Bell, Lurrie was constantly surrounded by the great musicians in that genre, taught himself to play guitar and began playing along during the frequent rehearsals at home. By the age of 14 he was performing at South Side bars. Venue: Hans-Martin Schlayerhalle, Stuttgart, Germany
2 CD Audio
Bootleg: Over the Europe
Catalog: Metal Crash: MECD 2084/2085
Very Good Audience

Audio Rating (DRE): 9

Comments:
"Excellent show! How do you sleep at night knowing you don't own this one?" Brent's Bootlegs (DRE)

"What a great show. This is an excellent audience recording. Everything sounds nice and clear. The audience noise is almost non existent. There is someone who claps along with the beginning of a few songs but it quickly stops. A few highlights of the show, the little extra jam at the end of Bravado and Alex's improv vocals during Closer To The Heart. The only negative thing about the recording is that the bass is low. I would actually recommend this show over Mirrors. I think the band as a whole gives a much better performance than the Oakland show. Overall, a must have for the Bones era." Bill Girton (DRE)

Yes - 2011-07-15- Orange Beach, AL (FLAC)

Yes - 2011-07-15- Orange Beach, AL (FLAC)
Venue: The Wharf Ampitheatre
Orange Beach, AL
July 15, 2011 (Trevor Horn's borthday)
approx. 93 minutes

Taper: Relayerman

Lineage: Edirol R-09HR (internal mics) > PC > SoundForge > CD > FLAC > you

Taper Notes:
"Hot off the presses! I recorded this from 10th row center so the recording is excellent. Here are a few points of interest. Benoit David's vocals are still on the shaky side. Its a paradox really because he can hit a lot of those high notes, but on others he just sounds like his voice is going to fall apart. Geoff's keys were up and down. Some were loud enough, some were not. Chris's bass was just right for me. Steve's guitar was very good in the mix as well, even the acoustic stuff. Alan's drums? Where were they?? They were weak a lot of the time volume-wise, but not for lack of playing. Compared to Styx's drums it sounded like Alan was playing on an oatmeal canister. Setlist is the same as all the other shows they closed except that they played the long version of Roundabout which was nice. Geoff's reverse piano intro to Roundabout was not working so he signaled to Steve to carry on without him. The set musically was not as tight as it could have been, but at this venue the show was to start at 8pm instead of 7pm like most of the other venues. Styx didn't come on until 8:20 which meant Yes didn't start until around 10pm. They acted a little tired.
I've included my ticket and 5 shots of the band members my buddy shot in this torrent."
