"I never was satisfied with my first matrix of this great show. So, I did it again. For me, sounds very clear now and have now much more Live-feeling. I've changed the volume from wb in my new mix.
10% more wb, less vortex242. I've also removed oversized bass and did a little EQ'ing. I was really happy that I've not lost the Data of the Time-settings. So it took not too much time to do the mix again.

"There was a power failure at the Mobile Broadcast Unit (at the venue) in the middle of track 11 (Empire) causing a two minutes break during transmission: the song stops abruptly, followed by 15 seconds of complete silence that were in turn followed by two minutes of radio jingles, then having the song resuming by surprise. To preserve broadcast integrity I included those "silence" and radio jingles as track 11b, thus the song "Empire" is actually divided into parts a-b-c : it's up to you to decide if downloading/burning track 11b as well.... (and then there is another short, 2 seconds, broadcast gap at the beginning of track 12). Warning: in italian radio customes the DJ speaks a lot in-between songs. And I mean a lot. His/Her purpose is to introduce songs with bits of bio and translate what the artists say, or to describe to radio listeners what's happening on stage.It may gets very annoying, and trust me it does, thus we might consider this recording Only for completists. But the songs, the actual music, are (usually) not spoken over in the middle of them. It has to be noted that italian djs are on the whole adviced to talk that much by the same record companies to prevent bootlegging."

"Throw away the ear-plugs, sit back, relax and savour Anderson's music. Jethro Tull is usually found sharing the same delicatessen shelf as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Who, The Rolling Stones and the other worthy stalwarts of the British "Rock Invasion" of the seventies. But it is all too often forgotten that a large part of the Tull repertoire is, in fact, acoustic music, whether whole songs or sections of the blockbusters such as Thick As A Brick and Aqualung. As the self-professed "unplugged guy with a bunch of noisy friends" Ian Anderson commands much respect as an acoustic musician amongst his peers. The only original member of Jethro Tull, Ian remains synonymous with the brand identity. Now, after 43 years of leading Tull to 54 countries spanning most of the continents, Ian Anderson brings his new acoustic tour to old and new friends alike. With a band consisting of German guitar virtuoso Florian Opahle, and pianist/accordionist John O'Hara, Ian plays Tull acoustic classics as well as other specially-rearranged Tull rock material and, in addition, some new material specially written for these tours. Drawing on Folk, Classical, Rock and Jazz music styles, Ian blends elements of many world music cultures to delight his fans. Throw away the ear-plugs, sit back, relax and savour Anderson's musical smorgasbord".

"I really wasn't sure how to set-up my recording levels before entering the Theatre....acoustic, but knowing Ian Anderson, still potentially loud. However, I risked it and went in on full volume on the basis that it was only a threesome, and it really paid off. I've had to increase volumes quite a bit (consistently across both sets, so Set 1 levels may seem a little on the low side) but there is no distortion whatsoever. I sat in the front row, slightly to the left as I faced the stage to benefit from the speakers to the side of the stage - my compliments to the sound guy who stayed on the ball, with only one small squeak of feedback all night. I had a lovely Danish couple to my right, who clapped a little louder than I would have liked, and a lady to my left whose digital camera set-up included audio for the 'mechanical' shutter sound which I picked up a couple of times, all very trivial in the overall scheme of things and a sign of how good I think this recording is. But then I would, wouldn't I? :-)"
