"This is probably the very first recording to surface from the Vapor Trails tour. Very nice sounding recording from the opening night of the tour. The music is a bit far in the mix, but well balanced. There's a nice bass "rumble" when the low frequencies register. The source lacks that digital punch found in recordings like Chicago '97 and Landover '96. Many thanks to Void Productions for a great  recording. A great early addition to anyone's list. "Another great show from the latter part of the Hemispheres show. This audience source was taken from the master cassette and it is almost impossible to tell this is an audience source! It is absolutely crystal clear, better sounding than some of the Rush soundboards out there. The source is clear enough that you can hear the buzz from the amplifiers during the song breaks. For a 22 year old source, this is nothing short of a miracle. The sound is actually a bit better than Work of Gifted Hands - Platinum Edition. The boys play with an incredible amount of energy and enthusiasm this night displaying that rare and elusive balance between pure raw power and expert musicianship. Geddy is definitely having fun tonight as often reciprocates the fans cheering. While there are some great soundboards from this tour, none have quite the energy and raw excitement of the Oslo show. This is one of those "must have" shows, get your hands on a copy of this one and you will not be disappointed. Once again, many sincere thanks to Perb and friend for making this show available to all Rush fans. Be sure to read the liner notes in the artwork for a better explanation of the show from the taper himself. "This is probably THE BEST sounding Rush boot available right now. But wait! That is not all that makes up a great bootleg. There is more to a bootleg than sound quality. First off some of the tracks are grouped together as one track when they really shouldn't be. Another problem is that there is approximately 5 seconds of silence right in the middle of the drum solo. The creator of this bootleg told me that those two problems are there, because he did not want to fix them in interest of sound quality. The other problem with this show is Geddy's voice. It sounds like he is slightly hoarse and is straining to sing. Although I've spent the better part of this paragraph complaining about this bootleg, let me assure you that this is one of the greatest Rush bootlegs ever released. I believe that every Rush bootleg collector should add this one to his/her collection." (brent's boolegs on DRE)
"This is a excellent soundboard recording. Without a doubt the best sounding Rush boot available. If you are a fan of Alex this show will blow you away. The biggest disappointment is that it is not the complete show. It does at least contain the extended version of Bravado. Also Geddy's voice is pretty bad in spots. He must have been sick. They ended up allowing disposable cameras, so I brought a few in with me (including panoramic which grace the artwork). All but one of the pictures in the artwork/booklet are from the rolls my girlfriend and I took. During the recording there is some slight (camera) winding heard now and then in the quieter parts, which was just us taking pictures.? I hope everyone enjoys the entire release, I really enjoyed this show a lot."

The taper is obviously much closer & it shows, I highly recommend this show over Independence Day for every reason possible. The sound, mix, etc is much much better on this release.
